It’s because glee writers HATE their characters. They suck the self esteem from their personalities and force their desiccated husks to date undeserving boyfriends

He wasn’t killed. He got the dementors kiss. Which is a fate worse than death. 

I always wondered what Dementors looked like under the cape-y rag ensemble they’ve got going on, now we know.
